Extensión de plazo de entrega de resúmenes para el V Coloquio del Programa EDICE

Extensión del Plazo de Entrega de Resúmenes

Nueva Fecha: 30 de abril 2010

El comité de organización del V COLOQUIO INTERNACIONAL DEL PROGRAMA EDICE, que se llevará a cabo en Barranquilla, Colombia, del 6 al 10 de diciembre de 2010, informa que ha decidido recientemente:

  1. Extender el plazo de entrega de resúmenes para dicho evento debido a los numerosos pedidos de prórroga en la entrega de resúmenes por coincidencia de feriados en Europa y Latinoamérica.
  2. Fijar como nuevo plazo de entrega de resúmenes hasta el 30 de abril del corriente.

Incorporation of Dr Bremer to the ANCEFN as Corresponding Academic Member

On Friday 26th March 2010 in Buenos Aires, Dr Kåre Bremer, President of Stockholm University and renowned botanist, was incorporated as a Corresponding Academic Member to The National Academy of Exact, Physical and Natural Sciences of Argentina. The event was presided by Dr. Eduardo H. Charreau, presented by Dr. Jorge Crisci, and followed by members of the Academy and general public.

EDICE Programme, as part of Stockholm University, is proud of having Dr Bremer honoured in Argentina and wants to share this moment with the rest of the research network. In what follows, we translate Dr. Jorge Crisci’s words in honour of Dr Kåre Bremer.

I am honored to welcome Dr Kåre Bremer as a Corresponding Academic Member to The National Academy of Exact, Physical and Natural Sciences of Argentina. This honor entails the enormous responsibility of introducing a leading scientist of exceptional merits.

Dr Bremer was born in Sweden in 1948. He is currently President of Stockholm University in Sweden, member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, and until 2004 Professor of Systematic Botany at Uppsala University, a chair also held by Carl Linnaeus in the eighteenth century.
